I have also ordered large sheets cakes from this safeway and it was for an extra large family and friends of the family baby shower. For a sweet friend having her first baby the baby shower was held at church location with plenty of room for all the entire family including the men included so the groom wouldn't feel out of place. The baby shower was more fun then the wedding shower. We purchased 3 sheet cakes for the baby shower and the cakes were delicious. There weren't any leftovers to send home or discard. Safeway in Danville area over inside Alamo has a nice bakery and so does Safeway in San Ramon also has a nice bakery. We were very happy with all 3 cakes.
I don't understand the extremely low 2 star rating! I LOOOOOOVE THIS SAFEWAY. It's closest to my home and I have to say that the staff is EXTREMELY friendly, ALWAYS greeting me. The food is always fresh in terms of ready to go meals and the deli/hot food bar. If they are ever out of something, they will replenish it immediately. If you are not satisfied with your purchase you can always take it back. I love the environment that the staff creates! They even slice bread rounds or baguettes that they make in house for you! Theyre also able to allow you to sample certain things such as deli meats/salads, etc. I also enjoy the cleanliness of this location.
Bakery is spot on great, compared to other Safeways donuts are bigger, tasteful. All their pastries are well made and tasteful. Breakfast bar is also great
What a surprise!! Such a delight to be helped by Maria this morning! I came in for a quick breakfast burrito bowl and Maria greeted me right away, made my dish quickly and deliciously and all with a warm conversation and genuine smile! So refreshing to be helped by people who seem to love their jobs! She's a gem!
I really like this Safeway. Not sure if I've been here before but this Safeway feels very homie and just a city over from Danville. I'll be coming back again soon.
